Anne Turner

Board Member

Anne is an artistic, academic and mentor with a keen sociological eye and a wealth of personal experience. The personal achievement represented by the first book she authored, Don't say you can't do this!: The effects of normalising post secondary institutional practices and social relations on students with multiple disabilities and complex identities, cannot be overstated. In overcoming a difficult childhood, learning disabilities and mental illness, Anne has not only forged a trail for herself, she is now sharing what she has learned with others. Her book included content from her recent master's degree. She lives, works and mentors from her home in Nanaimo, British Columbia
